At Mechanical Equipment Technologies Inc. (MET), we document and study existing building systems to support energy retrofit teams, by combining our expertise in HVAC and electrical power with 3D-site scanning services.

Our Process

BORP® – Building Operations Resource Platform is the method of mapping technical data of building systems with digital twins. A digital twin is a 3D virtual representation of a real world object.

Phase 1: Digitize – 3D site scanning and technical documentation services of building systems. Creation of digital twins and restoration of HVAC system technical data. Technical data includes HVAC equipment performance curves, wiring diagrams, dimensions /weights, air and water balancing test reports, etc.

Phase 2: Organize – Map the digital twin with HVAC technical details.

Phase 3: Analyze – Conduct technical review with project retrofit team of existing equipment/system configurations, capacities, turndown ratios, sequences, wiring diagrams, commissioning and service history. Analyze incoming retrofit proposals against the existing design to assess feasibility and develop project planning.

Phase 4: Decarbonize – Fuel switching and energy optimization scope is ready for application review with Save On Energy by IESO and Enbridge Gas commercial retrofit program.
